They usually have a great hand in choosing casks, and this one is no exception. A textbook Glendronach with these old sherry notes:

CommentGlendronach 19 whiskybase 1995 PX big: It noses quite typical of such a Glendronach, which is a good thing. Loads of cherries (reminds me of Amarena sauce), orange zest, blood orange, plum cake, ginger bread, rising dough of dark bread, flowerpot soil, blue cheese, suede and great spices fill the nose and palate. In second row, ozone, marzipan bars, pepper, walnut and a lively acidity make this dram an old-fashioned exception in the market.
